Set in a Siberian forest, this still life is a homage to two couples who married before the holocaust, suffered and were reunited afterwards.  Depicted is the sum total of the remaining possession of two families.  It is also a symbolic tribute to loved ones that we shall never know. Giclée on Canvas Edition of 50 $400 Unframed with certificate of authenticity.David Goteiner immigrated to the United States in 1948 at the age of 18 months from Mannheim, Germany.  His interest led him into the sciences a Stuyvesant High School in New York City and biology at Brooklyn College.  He received his dental and specialty training at Columbia and Harvard.  He is currently a practicing periodontist in Chester NJ and teaching at UMDNJ.  He lives in Sunset Lake with his wife, Carrie.His love of the arts developed at an early age prompting him to take courses and challenge himself in various mediums.  In 1982, he met Anatoly Ivanov, then a recent Russian immigrant and highly regarded painter.  From that moment on, he discovered his passion to paint.  He has been studying with the artist ever since.  When he is not working or teaching, he can be found happily engrossed behind his latest canvas.
